The Hidden Story of Okanagan Black History

Okanagan Heritage Museum 470 Queensway Avenue, Kelowna

How long has there been Black involvement in the Okanagan Valley? Despite being left out of historical records, Black people have been in the valley almost as long as the first settlers. Journey through the museum and find the different ways that Black people have contributed to Okanagan history. Using a puzzle sheet, decipher and discover the name of a historically significant Black Canadian. When you’re finished, receive a small prize and be entered into a draw for a Mosaic gift card!
