Kelowna Museums - Sesqui-licious Nosh Feb. 2 2017

Join us in celebrating Canada’s 150th Anniversary!

Celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial while indulging your senses. Enjoy local beverage tastings from Urban Distillery+ Winery, famous for their Spirit Bear Gin and Vodka, and sample delectable Okanagan-made snacks & treats while listening to local musicians perform live. Check out specials from the Laurel Shop, and live music by Robin Jarman! Robin has been a life long musician and performer.  He will be featuring “Melodies of yesteryear” on the keyboard. We will also be featuring the work of local artist Alexandria Krause. Alexandria likes to dabble in acrylics, playing with colour schemes and drawing inspiration from the surrounding environment and the emotional climate within.

About Neighbourhood Nosh

Neighbourhood Nosh is a free monthly event presented by Kelowna Museums as part of First Thursdays (a Cultural District initiative, learn more). This event has always been popular and we are happy to announce it has been re-invented with a fresh focus on local producers. Nosh provides you the opportunity to sample local bevies, treats, fruits and more. Mingle and meet new friends while participating in games, puzzles, or trivia.
Enjoy the Cultural Flavours of the Okanagan while you mingle in downtown Kelowna’s stunning heritage building – the Laurel Packinghouse!

What’s with all this Sesqui-business?
A sesquicentennial is a 150th anniversary or its celebration. In 2017 Canada will be celebrating its 150th anniversary of Confederation! There’s something for everyone to discover when it comes to exploring Canada’s rich heritage; Sesqui-Celebrate by visiting the Kelowna Museums during Canada150!
