Kelowna Museums is excited to offer the public a behind the scenes tour of the Ursula Surtees Regional Conservation Laboratory and Public Archives. As part of Culture Days, we will offer four 30 minute tours that will take visitors on an exploratory behind the scenes look at how the collections in the museum are cared for.
Discover the state of the art techniques used in the Conservation Lab as well as how the Public Archives are catalogued and made available to the community. Learn about what we do and how you can take advantage of these services by joining us for a fascinating and engaging guided tour.
Each tour is limited to 20 people and registration is based on first come first serve.
Founded in 2009, Culture Days is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a national network of cultural connections devoted to providing Canadians with opportunities to participate in, and appreciate, all forms of arts and culture. Through an annual three-day national celebration each September, hundreds of thousands of artists and cultural organizations in hundreds of cities and towns come together and invite Canadians to participate in free interactive and “behind the scenes” activities to discover their cultural spirit and passion.
