Learn more about how to make zines, the legendary underground and DIY art form integral to pre-internet queer and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities since the ‘70s. Zines are self-published, small-circulation "magazine” that can cover a wide range of topics, including personal narratives, art, poetry, politics, and more.

Celebrate Asian Heritage Month in Canada, at the Okanagan Heritage Museum!

Unofficially, it’s been observed since the 1990s, and a federal declaration was signed in 2002. Approximately 20% of Canadians report being of Asian Heritage, with themselves or family members representing a diverse group of countries and cultures.

Be sure to check out the permanent galleries at the Okanagan Heritage Museum and watch for special Asian Heritage Month offerings. Don’t miss the chance to explore, and to learn more about important contributions from the Asian community to this place we all call home.
