This exhibit features 33 political cartoons from WAC Bennett’s private collection. Featuring several well known Canadian cartoonists, when arranged chronologically, this one of a kind collection provides fascinating insights into Bennett and the political atmosphere of British Columbia in the 1950’s and 60’s.
The cartoons are complemented by 8 text panels which provide background information on the life and times of Bennett and the challenges and controversies he faced. This exhibit also includes a 45 minute video, The Good Life, which was specially commissioned by Bennett’s Social Credit government.
The cost for this exhibition is $300 per month plus travel.
