Celebrating the Legacy of Sport in the Okanagan

Sport is a vital part of every culture. Since the late 1800s in the Central Okanagan, our sport heritage has grown richer, reflecting our vibrant and growing community.
“Excellence in Motion: The Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame” highlights local Hall of Fame inductees, artefacts, and treasures from sport communities of the region. Previously housed in the Capri Centre Mall, the Sports Hall of Fame finds a new home this October and will display in the upper gallery of the Okanagan Heritage Museum for the Fall and Winter of 2015-2016.
Excellence in Motion explores and honours the legacy of local sporting history in the Okanagan and the groundwork that was laid for our present-day sporting communities. Visitors will be immersed in the rich sport heritage of the Okanagan and share in the pride and celebration of local athletes and sport leaders.
Kelowna Museums is proud to announce this exhibit will be open to the public on Saturday, October 24th, 2015.
