Meet Katya, one of our Event Attendants! Katya he Meet Katya, one of our Event Attendants!

Katya helps oversee events at the historic Laurel Packinghouse. She loves being a part of all of them! On any given day, you’ll find her welcoming guests, assisting renters, and overseeing event setup and cleanup to ensure everything runs smoothly.

“I’ve realized that I can only commit to a job if I truly enjoy what I’m doing – and this role is exactly that. Every shift brings something different, and I never know what funny or memorable moments I’ll encounter.”

During a holiday party last year, Katya transformed into a gingerbread person. “Due to an unexpected situation, the hired gingerbread person had to leave early, and I volunteered to wear the mascot costume for the rest of the night. Suddenly, I was the star of the party – everyone wanted photos with ‘Gingey!’ I have kept a few photos from that night to remember the fun of dressing up and helping to keep our Laurel guests happy.”

The Laurel is one of Kelowna’s top rental venues! Check out our website to book your next event.
