Unlock the secrets as you decode five challenging clues that lead to eco-prizes. Let’s celebrate Earth Day together while making a positive impact on our beautiful world!

Family Friendly Fun for All Ages
Start at any of the locations below to begin your eco-journey
Visit each location to complete the activity and answer the clue (map coming soon)
Once complete you can enter for your chance to win eco-prizes

The Earth Day Quest takes place @DowntownKelowna from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Eco-draw prize winners will be contacted by email within 3 business days after the event.

Today, Vimy Ridge Day, we honour the sacrifice of three Okanagan soldiers who bravely fought and fell in France. This battle on April 9, 1917, became a cornerstone of Canadian identity after the First World War ended in 1919. That identity was paid for in blood, sweat, and scars by men from across Canada. Please join us in welcoming Jillian Povarchook as the new Executive Director of the Kelowna Museums Society!

Before she returned to Kelowna – the city of her youth – in 2022, Jillian worked at the @MuseumOfVan for twelve years. While there, she completed a Master of Museum Education at UBC and dove deep into the curatorial world, working on interdisciplinary exhibition projects such as “A Seat at the Table: Chinese Canadian Immigration and BC” and “Wild Things: The Power of Nature in our Lives”.

When she’s not at any of our three museums (probably grant writing), you can find Jillian visiting our neighbours in the Cultural District, in her kitchen with friends and family, or hogging the pinball machine @JackknifeBrewing with her husband and seven-year-old son.
