Dr. Robert Young is an Associate Professor in Earth, Environmental, and Geographical Sciences at UBCO, where he has been contributing his expertise since 2003. He earned his BSc. and MSc. From the University of Alberta and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Young has a passion for public education, which is evident from his extensive work in the field. His Ph.D. research significantly contributed to the Ice Age Gallery at the Royal Alberta Museum. He has also served as a curatorial consultant for the Royal Tyrrell Museum’s Quaternary Gallery, as well as the Okanagan Heritage Museum’s Geology Gallery. Dr. Young has delivered numerous public lectures over the years, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for Earth sciences with diverse audiences.
