Old School: A Look Back at School Life in Kelowna

October 12, 2024 to March 2, 2025
Okanagan Heritage Museum

Sharpen your pencils and pack your lunchbox – it’s time to step into the past! Our newest exhibition, Old School: A Look Back at School Life in Kelowna, showcases the evolution of our schools, from one-room schoolhouses to the modern institutions we know today.

Don’t be late, the bell’s about to ring!

The exhibition was inspired by a generous donation of school-related objects and archival materials from the Central Okanagan Retired Teachers Association (CORTA). Reflecting a typical school day, this exhibit invites you to reminisce about your own experiences and appreciate the history that shaped education in Kelowna.

Discover the stories, objects, and memories that highlight the dedication of teachers, the spirit of students and the journey to graduation.
