Join us for an afternoon that brings history and culture to life! We’ll kick things off with a tour of our temporary exhibit Broken Promises: an eye-opening exhibit about the internment and displacement of Japanese Canadians during WWII—and how those events still echo through families in BC today.
Following the tour, experience the stirring rhythms of Yamabiko Taiko Kelowna in a dynamic 30-minute performance. Founded in 2003, this renowned local group—named after the Japanese word for “mountain echo”—brings the spirit and strength of taiko drumming to life, echoing stories of resilience and cultural pride.
