Ukrainian Underground

Join special guest, Dr. Dan Gallacher, for an illustrated presentation about the early experience of Ukrainians in the mines of Western Canada. In his presentation, Dr. Gallacher traces the rise of this workforce from pastures to pitheads, from land owners to labourers, from rural to urban in a new land and a new century. This is a great opportunity to view the special exhibition,
Bread and Salt, on loan from the Royal BC Museum and co-presented with the Dolyna Ukrainian Cultural Society until January 27.
