It’s Sunday Funday at the Okanagan Heritage Museum! Drop in and discover something new each week… from bees to dinosaurs and lots in between! Everyone’s buzzing about this. Don’t miss out!

12 noon to 4 pm. Every Sunday. All summer long!

What’s on the schedule?

July 4: We love bees! There are so many wild bees in the Okanagan, and we love them with all our hearts. Come and see why bees are so important!

July 11: You’ll have a hoot during owl day! Look at talons and beaks up close and discover what owls eat by looking at a partially dissected owl pellet.

July 18: Step back in time at the McDougall Cabin! Touch artifacts, meet the people who called the cabin home and test your memory skills.

July 25: Dino day! Measure yourself against a T-Rex jaw, use magnifying glasses to look at ancient fossils and more. It’s going to be dino-mite!

Aug 1: Visit a traditional syilx winter home and climb the warriors’ ladder! A unique Okanagan experience that is not to be missed.

Aug 8th: All About Water: A special scavenger hunt will lead you through the museum searching for Ogopogo…and learning about water in the Okanagan

Aug 15th: You’ll have a hoot during owl day! Look at talons and beaks up close and discover what owls eat by looking at a partially dissected owl pellet.

Aug 22: animal skulls: What can skulls and teeth tell us about Okanagan animals? Well, quite a lot! Come explore with us, we’ve got tons of hands-on fun.

Aug 29: Storytime! Cozy up with a local story, featuring some of our favourite local animals. Join us as we practice the nsyilxcən (Okanagan language) words for the animals.
