Discover the rich history of our city by travelling beyond the walls of the museum for a tour of the historic Memorial Park Cemetery.
Kelowna Museums will be working with Bob Hayes, local historian to share the stories of the founders of Kelowna. Bob is an active member of the Okanagan Historical Society and the Kelowna and District Genealogical Society, having served as President of both societies for several years.
Memorial Park Cemetery is located near Dilworth Mountain and is the resting place for many of our early pioneers.
The tour on May 16th will feature those early settlers who are of Asian descent to commemorate Asian Heritage Month & the new Asian Heritage exhibit at Kelowna Museums.
The tour on May 20th will showcase the Far East section of the Pioneer Cemetery.
Each tour will begin at 11am takes approximately 1 hour to complete. There is a $5 charge for this event.
