Discover Kelowna’s rich history by travelling beyond the walls of the museum, for a tour of the historic Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bob Hayes, local historian, will guide visitors through the cemetery and share the stories of some notable community members in Kelowna’s history. Bob is an active member of the Okanagan Historical Society and the Kelowna and District Genealogical Society, having served as President of both societies for several years.
Memorial Park Cemetery is located near Dilworth Mountain and is the resting place for many of our early pioneers. The tour will focus on sharing stories of the families who made significant contributions to Kelowna. Audience participation is encouraged!
Each tour will begin at 10am and takes approximately 1.5 hour to complete. There is a $5 charge for this event.
